THE GOOD SHEPHERD LIFELINK PROGRAM
Mission: Good Shepherd Services goes where children, youth, and families face the greatest
challenges and builds on their strengths to help them gain skills for success. We provide
quality, effective services that deepen connections between family members, within schools, and among neighbors. We work closely with community leaders to advocate, both locally and nationally, on behalf of our participants to make New York City a better place to live and work.
Good Shepherd Services’ LifeLink program provides young people with the support they need to make a successful transition from high school to college at City University of New York (CUNY) schools. LifeLink helps current high school students, GED students, and Young Adult Borough Center participants of Good Shepherd Services’ programs, as well as recent high school graduates who plan to attend CUNY schools, to stay in college and overcome any roadblocks in their way to both a degree and a more promising future. Our staff provides strong personal support services to current students, enabling them to anchor themselves firmly within the college community. We help students navigate the application and registration process to successfully enter college. |
